Since its inception in 2013, the Howerton Strike Out Cancer event has awarded over $25,000 in scholarships to participating senior baseball and softball players. 
In 2024, the Howerton family was proud to award both Lawson Hawke and Elizabeth Cummings.  Lawson, of Delaware Valley High School, is continuing his education at Marywood University majoring in exercise science.  Elizabeth, of Old Forge High School, is continuing her education at Coastal Carolina University majoring in marine and coastal environmental science.  

Congratulations and best wishes to them both in their future endeavors.  

Qualifications: 
1. A senior baseball or softball player with at least two years playing in the high school program.
2. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
 

Instructions:     
1. Download form below.
2. Submit an essay that demonstrates the student-athletes leadership and community service.
